Wonderful surprise
I got the mystery 8x8 original stretch blanket. I rolled the dice as was such a great deal! I got the chess piece blanket and it is great. As always, the original stretch blanket is so soft and comfortable. The 8x8 is a great size for me. Just right to snuggle on the couch or use for a little extra warmth on the bed. Perfect for spring weather!

I just keep buying more!
I purchased 2 of the stretch blankets nearly 4 years ago when that was the only Big Blanket Co. offering. I have been hooked ever since and have bought some for myself, some for others, and now a smaller 8x8 for someone as well.
I can only speak to the stretch fabric, because I am so obsessed I have yet to buy any others. It has lasted nearly weekly washes for 4 years, and maintained the beautifully butter soft feel and look it had from day 1. I usually layer it with a thicker blanket in the winter for cozy warmth, and I am beyond impressed with how cool it keeps me in the summer months when I am toasty but insist on staying covered. I am over 6 feet tall and the size initially lured me in but the longevity and luxurious feel of the fabric has kept me coming back.
My sole complaint is that the edges tend to have little fabric pills build up at first but with a shave or two, they go away for good. Even with that I highly, HIGHLY recommend these blankets. The cost is high but the quality is higher.
